Jazz 124, Rock 118 Salt Lake City (AP)— Utah won 124-121 over Houston with 22 points from Luka Samanic, ending a 13-game losing run. Keyonte George scored 20 points for the Jazz, who went 21-20 at home. Brice Sensabaugh scored 17 and Talen Horton-Tucker 16.
Houston lost for the sixth time in seven games despite Fred VanVleet's 42 points and nine 3-pointers. VanVleet had seven assists, seven rebounds, and 9-13 3-point shooting. Cam Whitmore scored 18 and made 4 3s. Amen Thompson had 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 steals.
Trail Blazers 92, Warriors 100 Portland, Oregon (AP)— Stephen Curry scored 22 points as Golden State won their third straight over Portland. Jonathan Kuminga scored 19 for the Warriors, who have won 9 of 10. Golden State already has a play-in place but can improve its playoff seeding in the final two games.
Ayton led Portland with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Henderson had 18 points and 12 assists. He led rookies with 10 assists in eight games this season.
Kings 123, Pelicans 135 Sacramento (AP)— CJ McCollum and Zion Williamson scored 31 points to help New Orleans sweep Sacramento in five games. McCollum tied a season high with nine 3-pointers in 12 attempts and added seven assists to help the Pelicans avoid the play-ins. They're sixth in the Western Conference, the last playoff spot.
Trey Murphy III scored 27 and Jonas Valanciunas scored 13 and 10 rebounds. Sacramento lost for the fourth time in five games and missed the play-in tournament despite De'Aaron Fox's 33 points and eight assists. The Kings (45-35) tie the Lakers and Warriors for sixth. Domantas Sabonis scored 18 points and 10 rebounds for his 75th double-double, the most in a season since Moses Malone had 77 in 1978-79. Harrison Barnes added 22 points.
