A mother and her two young boys were found alive Sunday after California issued a nationwide "Endangered Missing Advisory" for them.
The California Highway Patrol issued the alert Saturday after police in Mountain View, a tech hub, said she removed the 9- and 4-year-old children.
“Taylor Wu is the two boys' mother and is missing along with the two boys,” Mountain View Police Capt. Scott Nelson emailed Saturday.
According to his Sunday email, "All three missing people were found safely. We are grateful to have found the family safely and are currently working with them."
"We do not have any further information at this time, as we wanted to provide an immediate update that they have been located," he said. The CHP reported that the children were last seen in a Mountain View neighborhood at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday. Authorities searched for the mother's blue SUV.
An “Endangered Missing Advisory” allows the CHP to raise awareness without the alarm of an Amber Alert, which warns of impending danger for abducted children.
In a Saturday social media post on X, the CHP singled out Santa Clara County, where Mountain View resides, and Los Angeles County for unclear reasons.
Police recognized Jialiang Wu as the boys' father. The couple may be divorced or fighting for custody of the boys.
