Two investigative sources said a lawyer fatally shot his former daughter-in-law and a colleague attorney during a Las Vegas law company deposition Monday morning.
Sources claimed Monday afternoon that the shooter opened fire at the Prince Law Group office in Summerlin during his son's deposition.
The sources stated the other lawyer was representing his wife, the shooter's former daughter-in-law and opposing counsel.
At a press conference, Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill said the incident happened at the fifth-floor law office on West Charleston Boulevard near Pavilion Center Drive about 10 a.m. Police stated Tuesday they found three gunshot-wounded victims upon arrival. Medical officials pronounced them dead on the scene.
"My cops did not murder the suspect. "We believe he committed suicide," he stated, adding that the public was safe. On Tuesday, the Clark County Coroner named the victims as Ashley Prince, 30, Dennis Prince, 57, and Joseph Houston, 77.
Bob Eglet informed NBC News that the dead attorney was his former law partner and they had known each other for 30 years. According to Eglet, the duo were close friends for years.
McMahill said businesses are near the law office where the incident occurred. Officials say first responders evacuated the facility using active-shooter technique. Police evacuated hundreds.
"We have a theory at this point, but I cannot release any of that information until we've confirmed that information," stated. Calls to a fifth-floor law office for comment were ignored Monday afternoon. Police said Red Rock Casino was their support center.
