This classic Italian dish features tender chicken breasts cooked in a rich and flavorful Marsala wine sauce. Perfect for a special occasion or a cozy dinner at home, here’s how to make it:
Ingredients:– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast– Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper– All-purpose flour, for dredging– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter– 4 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 cup sliced mushroom– 1/2 cup Marsala wine– 1/2 cup chicken broth– 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
1. Place each chicken breast between two pieces of plastic wrap and gently pound them to an even thickness, about 1/4 inch. Season both sides of the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once the butter has melted and the oil is hot, add the chicken breasts to the skillet.
Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and tender.
