How to control your hair's frizz throughout the summer

Use a Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner: Look for shampoos and conditioners specifically formulated to hydrate and moisturize the hair. Avoid products containing harsh sulfates, as they can strip the hair of its natural oils and contribute to frizz.

Hydrate Your Hair Regularly: Use a hydrating hair mask or deep conditioner once or twice a week to help nourish and moisturize your hair, reducing frizz and promoting smoothness.

Limit Heat Styling: Excessive heat styling can dry out the hair and contribute to frizz. Whenever possible, allow your hair to air dry naturally or use a lower heat setting on your blow dryer. Consider embracing your natural texture and using heat styling tools sparingly.

Apply a Leave-In Conditioner: After washing your hair, apply a leave-in conditioner or smoothing serum to help seal the hair cuticle and minimize frizz. Focus on the mid-lengths and ends of your hair, where frizz tends to be most noticeable.

Apply Leave-In Conditioner: Use a leave-in conditioner or hair oil to add moisture and define your curls. Apply a small amount of product to damp hair, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends, to help seal in moisture and prevent frizz.

Avoid Over-Washing: Washing your hair too frequently can strip it of its natural oils, leading to dryness and frizz. Aim to wash your hair no more than 2-3 times per week, or as needed based on your hair type and lifestyle.

Protect Your Hair from the Sun: UV rays can damage the hair cuticle and contribute to frizz and dryness. Wear a hat or use a UV-protectant hair product when spending time outdoors to shield your hair from the sun's harmful rays.

Sleep on Silk or Satin Pillowcases: Cotton pillowcases can cause friction and lead to frizz and tangles. Switching to silk or satin pillowcases can help minimize friction, reduce breakage, and keep your hair looking smoother.
