Bobby Miller, Dodgers starter, was placed on 15-day disabled list with right shoulder discomfort.

L.A.  — As a result of irritation in his right shoulder, Bobby Miller was placed on the 15-day disabled list by the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday night.

The 25-year-old Miller has made three starts in his second season in the major leagues and has a record of 1-1 with a 5.40 earned run average. In 11 and a half two-thirds innings, he has walked six batters and struck out 18 batters.

The Los Angeles rotation is already suffering from a number of injuries, including the absence of Clayton Kershaw, Walker Buehler, Emmet Sheehan, Dustin May, and Tony Gonsolin

This is the latest blow to the rotation. Tyler Glasnow, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, James Paxton, and Gavin Stone are the players who are still considered to be starters for the squad.

Miller had a record of 11-4 with a 3.76 earned run average in 22 starts during his first season. Based out of Louisville, he was selected 29th overall in the amateur draft that took place in 2020.

Additionally, right-handed reliever Connor Brogdon was placed on the 15-day injured list due to right plantar fasciitis during his time on the disabled list.

As part of a series of corresponding movements, the Los Angeles Dodgers brought back from Triple-A Oklahoma City right-handed pitcher J.P. Feyereisen and left-handed pitcher Nick Ramirez. It was on April 2 that Ramirez was purchased from the New York Yankees in exchange for cash.

Rain caused a delay of two hours and fifteen minutes before the start of the game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres on Saturday night. At Dodger Stadium, this was the second rain delay that had occurred this season.
