Kari Lake advises supporters to'strap on a Glock' for 2024.

Arizona GOP Senate candidate Kari Lake advised supporters to "strap on a Glock" and for military and law enforcement veterans to be "ready," as her race heated up in a vital battleground state.

“We need to send people to Washington, D.C., that the swamp does not want there,” Lake told Mohave County Arizonans on Sunday. “I can think of two people they don't want there. First is Donald J. Trump, then Kari Lake.”

She said she stood up to the Washington “swamp”: “They can’t bribe me, they can blackmail me. Washington, D.C. doesn't want me for that. They're fighting him because President Trump wants that.”

“He will sacrifice everything I am. They'll come after us with lawfare and everything. So the next six months will be hectic. We must fasten our—let's see. What to strap on? Lake inquired as the crowd laughed. “We'll buckle up. Wear our helmet or your Kari Lake ball hat. We'll wear God's armor. Maybe strap a Glock to our side just in case.”

“The next six months will be tough. I feel with as many veterans and former law enforcement, active law enforcement, that if you are not ready for action— Lake asked for a show of hands. “… you guys are ready for it,” she stated to her followers. “The next six months will be crazy. This is our chance to save our nation.”

“The signs are all there,” Roe stated, believing the political left is trying to derail MAGA. “Saying the MAGA people are bad, that we incite riots — and the whole J6 thing that happened, that was all a setup for sure,” Roe added, referring to the myth that the Jan. 6 Capitol disturbance was a plot to implicate Trump and his followers.

Lake has consistently denied the 2020 and 2022 election results, which saw President Joe Biden narrowly defeat Trump in Arizona and her quest for governor fall by a bigger margin. Court judgments and other studies have revealed no electoral fraud or wrongdoing. Lake declined to defend herself in a Maricopa County Republican election official's slander action in March.

In June, Maricopa County recorder Stephen Richer filed a defamation claim against Lake, stating that she “repeatedly and falsely accused” him of causing her electoral defeat to Democrat Katie Hobbs for governor. Lake's lawyers submitted a default judgment motion indicating she was not contesting her guilt. In the case, she will argue against damages.
